VOICE RECOVERY GROUP

Group Participation Agreement

Welcome to the Voice Recovery Group. By joining this group, you are entering a community built on trust, respect, and shared commitment to voice recovery. This agreement defines how we show up for each other.

1. What This Group Is and Is Not
The Voice Recovery Group is a psychoeducational and coaching program. It is not therapy, does not create a therapist-client relationship, and is not a substitute for individual mental health treatment. Dr. Clarke's LMFT licensure informs her expertise, but this program is not a licensed mental health service.

By joining, you acknowledge that if you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you will seek support from a licensed mental health provider or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

2. Confidentiality: What Stays in the Group

  • This group keeps everything shared within it. This includes sharing information in conversations, on social media, or in any other format.

  • You may share your story and your own growth. Other members' experiences are theirs alone.

  • Session replays are for your personal use only. They may not be shared, downloaded, or distributed.

  • Screenshots and recordings of live sessions are prohibited.

3. Community Standards

  • Listen without interrupting when another woman is sharing

  • Speak from your own experience using 'I' language

  • Avoid unsolicited advice. We witness each other; we do not fix each other

  • Cameras are on during live sessions. Your presence matters

  • Arrive on time. Late arrivals disrupt the opening ground

  • Keep your space private and free from interruption where possible

4. Dr. Clarke's Role

Dr. Clarke is your expert facilitator and coach, not your therapist. She will teach, facilitate, observe patterns, and refer members to outside professional support when needed. If she observes that a member's needs go beyond what this group can address, she will reach out privately and compassionately.

5. Crisis Protocol

If you are in crisis during or between sessions, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), contact your personal therapist, or go to your nearest emergency room if in immediate danger.

This group is not a crisis intervention service. Dr. Clarke is not responsible for monitoring members' well-being between sessions.

6. Behavior That Ends Membership

  • Sharing another member's personal information or stories outside the group

  • Recording or distributing session content without permission

  • Behavior that is abusive, disrespectful, or harmful to other members

  • Any conduct that violates the trust or safety of the group container
